Blibli, one of Indonesia’s leading e-commerce platforms, recently teamed up with the Indonesia Fashion Forward (IFF) initiative to give back to the community in a special way. Through a joint effort, they organized a program to share valuable skills with underprivileged children in Jakarta.
The event, titled “Blibli bersama IFF berbagi keterampilan dengan anak-anak marginal” (Blibli with IFF shares skills with marginalized children), aimed to provide children from marginalized communities with the opportunity to learn important skills that could potentially change their lives for the better. The program was held at a community center in Jakarta, where a group of children eagerly awaited the chance to participate.
The children were divided into groups and were taught various skills by professionals from the fashion industry. They were given lessons on sewing, pattern-making, and design, as well as tips on how to turn their creativity into marketable products. The children were also encouraged to explore their own unique talents and express themselves through fashion.
The program not only provided the children with valuable skills but also instilled a sense of confidence and empowerment in them. Many of the children had never had the opportunity to explore their creativity in this way before, and the experience was truly transformative for them.
In addition to the skills training, the children were also given the opportunity to showcase their creations in a fashion show at the end of the program. They proudly walked down the runway, displaying their handmade garments and accessories to an audience of friends, family, and supporters.
